Job Summary
Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers, run diagnostics, and conduct preventative maintenance including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes. Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose problems, plan repairs, and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions. Maintain accurate records of repairs, prepare mechanical maintenance reports, and ensure all vehicles meet DOT compliance and brake standards. Complete daily reporting, manage equipment and parts inventories, and adhere to strict safe work practices complying with Company, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance
- Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals)
- Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Prompt, professional and dependable demeanor
Desired Qualifications
- Welding and body fabrication experience is a plus
