Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel trucks and equipment while performing safety checks and responding to emergency service calls. Estimate time and material costs for repairs, complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times, and assist senior mechanics on project work. Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, maintaining a clean work area compliant with OSHA standards. Perform work in both indoor shop and outdoor conditions involving lifting, pushing, and exposure to weather extremes.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid drivers license, with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
