Job Summary
Instructors deliver classroom and lab instruction for diesel/heavy truck programs, use sound educational practices to develop student knowledge and skills, assess learning objectives, ensure instructional materials and equipment are ready and maintained, participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development, maintain required certifications/licensure, and support compliance with federal/state regulations and internal policies. The role emphasizes student-centered instruction, ongoing evaluation, and contributing to an engaged educational environment, with duties including meetings, data review, reporting, and a commitment to the Ancora Education mission and core values.
Required Qualifications
- active certification or licensure where required
- 5 years industry experience within the last 10 years
- non-degree or associate degree with 3 years practical teaching experience OR bachelor’s or higher with 4 years practical teaching experience
- master’s degree in the content area or 18 graduate credit hours in the content area for online faculty
- prior teaching experience or completion of new instructor training
- ability to qualify as instructor per institutional and accreditation standards
