Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on rental construction equipment, including diagnosing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Use diagnostic software and specialized tools to identify issues, then test-run equipment to verify repairs and ensure operational safety. Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately while supporting shop workflow and assisting other technicians. This role is ideal for technicians with hands-on experience in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems within a rental or fleet environment. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and possess a personal set of professional-grade mechanic's tools. Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic, rental, construction or fleet mechanic
- High school diploma, trade school certificate or equivalent experience
- Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles safely
- Personal set of professional-grade mechanic's tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
