Inspect, repair, or overhaul buses, trucks, and heavy equipment; test drive and inspect vehicles; diagnose malfunctions and communicate with customers; read and interpret diagnostic test results; raise vehicles with hydraulic jacks or hoists; inspect and repair braking, steering, transmissions, engines, and other components; perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks; adjust and align wheels and components; repair or replace malfunctioning parts; test-drive to ensure proper operation.
