Job Summary
Assist experienced technicians with routine preventative maintenance, engine repairs, and load bank testing under direct supervision. Deliver parts and load bank trailers to field sites while observing maintenance of Automatic Transfer Switches and AC/DC circuit troubleshooting. Gain hands-on experience with ignition and fuel systems through collaboration on larger projects. This entry-level role requires a valid driver's license, excellent driving record, and the ability to lift 75 lbs in various weather conditions, including occasional overnight stays. Comprehensive training is provided to develop technical skills in power generation.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- Valid license
- Excellent driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
- Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, and performing tasks requiring physical agility (kneeling, grasping, and maneuvering in restricted areas)
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass DOT physical examination
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in an Electrical/Mechanical field
- Military background (e.g., US Air Force Electrical Power Production, US Navy Electrician's Mate)
- prior field service experience
