Job Summary
Install, commission, and maintain diesel backup power generators; diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues across generator models; perform routine maintenance (oil and filter changes, fuel system checks), replace faulty parts, and document work orders; work with diesel and natural gas engines and Automatic Transfer Switches; ensure safety compliance and maintain accurate records; company truck provided.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with commercial Backup Power Generators
- Engine and generator troubleshooting
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues
- Knowledge of generator safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Work with diesel and natural gas engines
- Work with Automatic Transfer Switches
