Job Summary
Provide safe, reliable fleet maintenance by performing preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, and company-owned equipment; perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) in accordance with regulations; diagnose malfunctions to manufacturer specifications and complete required work orders; operate OE diagnostic software; perform electrical, welding, and mechanical repairs as needed to maximize safety and reliability. Must have a high school diploma or GED, 2-year technical education with 1 year of experience or 3 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and tools. ASE certifications are preferred. The role includes 2nd shift availability, a pay range of $26.50-$34.38 per hour, and benefits such as tool and boot allowances; travel is occasionally possible to other operating locations as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of fleet maintenance experience
- Current and valid driver's license
- ASE certifications (preferred, not required)
- Must provide own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools)
- Proficiency with computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs/components
- Knowledge of heavy/medium duty truck systems
- Ability to perform inspections and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and related components
- Ability to perform electrical repairs and welding as needed
- Ability to read and document work orders
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Excellent manual dexterity and use of tools
