Job Summary
Complete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company-owned tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units per OEM, DOT, and Swift specifications. Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose minor or complex equipment issues, then disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components. Perform tire maintenance including repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification. Read and understand repair manuals to complete tags and repair orders while utilizing various diagnostic software for tractor and trailer systems. Maintain computer skills proficiency throughout daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School or combination of training and/or experience
- Drivers license
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals
- Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers
- Must possess computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance
