Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and reconditioning on heavy equipment to ensure machines are job-ready for customers. Accurately complete service reports, communicate labor estimates and job updates to the Service Manager, and track parts needs while maintaining a clean, safe work environment adhering to OSHA standards. Participate in ongoing training and development programs. This mid-level role requires 3–5 years of diesel mechanic experience or a technical school graduate, a valid driver's license, and the ability to sit, stand, and lie in a machine for extended periods. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of heavy equipment/diesel mechanic experience
- recent technical school graduate
- Must supply personal tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of schematics/diagrams
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and electronic tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass physical examination prior to starting
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stopping
- Successful candidate must consent to a drug test
- Successful candidate must pass a background check
