Job Summary
Service John Deere golf and turf equipment, including mowers, compact tractors, utility vehicles, and spraying machinery, through independent diagnostics and repair of complex technical issues. Conduct pre-delivery inspections on all equipment and merchandise, operate vehicles and tools for set-up and delivery, and maintain a clean, orderly work area. Adhere to all safety regulations, complete required reports and forms, and account for time and materials used. Participate in mandatory service education training programs to develop skills and maintain labor performance metrics. Perform physical tasks including lifting 50 pounds and repetitive hand use up to seven hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience (or equivalent) performing service repairs
- Sound knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the Dealership
- Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes
- Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow the manufacturer's pre-delivery instructions
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to maintain labor performance and billable hours according to Service Leaders
- Knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment, a plus
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling 50 pounds
- Repetitive hand use up to 7 hours a day
- Walking or standing up to 7 hours a day
- Sitting up to 4 hours a day
- Squatting/kneeling up to 3 hours a day
- Computer/keyboard work up to 2 hours a day
