Diesel Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary
Diagnose diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools while performing routine inspections and Tier 4 engine maintenance. Rebuild or repair engines, emissions systems, and pump components, maintaining detailed records of equipment conditions for the manager. Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely across shop and field environments, traveling approximately 50% to customer locations. Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to respond to urgent repairs, adhering to all safety procedures and environmental standards. Requires 2-4 years of diesel repair experience and Tier 4 engine knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of diesel repair experience or equivalent training
- Strong diagnostic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity of Engine diagnostic tools and Electrical components
- Must be willing to learn and be part of a growing Team
- This role operates in both shop and field environments and requires the ability to work in all weather conditions
- Travel to job sites as needed (approx. 50%)
Desired Qualifications
- Tier 4 engine and emission system knowledge preferred
