Job Summary
Operate machine tool equipment including lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders to produce tooling fixtures. Troubleshoot and change out tooling in precision stamping dies, checking machining operations against specified tolerances. Make adjustments or repairs to equipment as necessary and identify specification, equipment, or material shortcomings for the Supervisor. Perform various other tasks as directed. Work Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with overtime available as needed. Requires Technical Certification and/or 1 to 3 years of machinist experience.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Certification
- 1 to 3 years machinist experience
- Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations
- Operates all types of machine tool equipment such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders
- Troubleshoots and changes out tooling in precision stamping dies
- Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances
- Makes adjustments or repairs to equipment
- Identifies to Supervisor or Lead-person any specification, equipment, or material shortcomings
- Qualify as 'U.S. Persons' as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
