Job Summary
Operate and maintain die-room equipment for polymer die processing: remove dies from machines with a crane, clean and install replacement dies, remove screens and Teflon, separate spinnerets and breaker plates, load breaker plates into a 1550-degree oven, reassemble dies, and perform insulation and wrapping tasks. Inspect, repair, and maintain dies; perform cleaning and reassembly, and handle protective plastics. Monitor quality and report abnormalities; follow safety procedures and manufacturer directions. Handle tasks such as pressure washing, honeycomb construction, and general equipment upkeep, while adhering to teamwork and safety standards. Requires reading micrometers and depth gauges, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high school diploma or GED is required.
