Die Repair - 2nd Shift

Repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies consistent with original specifications, operating all associated machines and equipment. Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble dies using lift trucks, cleaning equipment, and cranes. Build and replace segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints; draw polish or grind cavity surfaces. Make repairs, remove stuck castings, correct dimensional problems, and change cores or trim punches while dies are mounted. Perform welding duties in the foundry and repair department. Troubleshoot production tooling problems and complete work orders, pictorials, and records. Train new employees and maintain a neat work area. Requires Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers and up to two years of on-the-job training.
