Job Summary
The Diemaker crafts cutting dies by hand using wood, steel rule knife, and rubber, assembling cutting dies for flat and rotary production. Reads CAD files to accurately assemble tools and uses manual and automated equipment to form materials. Performs layout, sawing, ruling, and rubbering per SOPs, participates in quality checks, maintains cleanliness, and reports to the Production Manager. Must have strong math fundamentals, precise measurement skills, and the ability to handle lifting up to 65 pounds while using hand and power tools. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Metal Working Background preferred
- Basic knowledge of math fundamentals
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and caliper
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Basic knowledge of computer platforms
- Good verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of how to operate hand and power tools
