Job Summary
Obtain and verify production dies, tools, and job specifications, then set up die-cutting equipment including flatbed, steel-rule, and thermal presses. Insert die boards, align dies, adjust guides and grippers, and run proof samples for supervisor approval before starting production runs. Monitor quality throughout the run, measure finished parts, and remove scrap material safely. Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs while troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime. Complete production documentation, job tickets, and quality records accurately. Work 7am-3:30pm at a rate of $19.00/hr, with a preference for candidates with experience in printing, converting, or label environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production specifications
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Must possess adequate vision to inspect printed and die-cut products for quality and accuracy
- Must have a high degree of mechanical aptitude
- Must have the ability to write, speak and read in English
- Good computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience operating die-cutting equipment in a printing, converting, label, decal, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with pressure-sensitive labels, decals, stickers
- Knowledge of steel-rule dies, kiss-cutting, through-cutting, and face-cutting applications
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices
- Experience with brake press machines
