Die Cast Technician

Job Summary
Operates and monitors die cast machines and ancillary equipment (e.g., mini vibe, vacuum, jet cooling); reviews machine settings daily against process sheets; performs startup checks, run logs, and gap sheets; ensures safety and quality by inspecting equipment and area, addressing unsafe conditions, and coordinating with maintenance and QA to check for porosity and quality issues; assists SMED in tool setup and die changes, and supports production with ERP questions and breaks; adheres to 5S standards and participates in HAZMAT cleaning; actively pursues higher die cast training to develop expertise in the assigned area; requires forklift operator and overhead crane licensure/certification, Lockout Tagout training/licensure, and Electrical awareness training (on-the-job training provided).
Required Qualifications
- Forklift operator and overhead crane licensure/certification required (will train on the job)
- Lockout Tagout Authorized Personnel training/licensure required (will train on the job)
- Electrical awareness training required (will train on the job)
