Die Cast Operator - 1st Shift

Set up and operate department machines to perform secondary operations on zinc components. Ensure sufficient coolant and lubricant is applied; monitor tooling wear and determine when machine adjustments or repairs are needed. Collaborate with other machine operators, the department lead, inspection personnel, material handlers, and tool and die maintenance staff. Participate in small group activities and ongoing improvement efforts. Requires a learning period of about two months to acquire basics, with proficiency to handle tasks with minimal supervision after two years. Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills; read shop orders and related documents; maintain above-average mechanical aptitude. Targeted hourly rate is $24.00.
