Job Summary
Machine Operator on 2nd shift responsible for operating and troubleshooting zinc die cast machines that produce parts for assembly and powder coat operations. Tasks include making machine adjustments, handling hot molten zinc safely, lifting and moving production parts, troubleshooting and cleaning machines, coordinating with supervisors, other department personnel, quality control and engineering, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs regularly
- Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal work instructions
- Basic math skills
- General understanding of manufacturing practices
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent people skills
- Dependable
- Capacity to take direction
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime as required
