Job Summary
Prepare, inspect, and machine components using CNC Wire EDM and Vollmer grinding equipment while operating multiple machines simultaneously. Read engineering drawings and work orders to configure machining parameters and program toolpaths. Start cycles, measure finished parts against standards, and complete all required production documentation. Adhere strictly to Quality Management System and health and safety policies. Full-time unionized position on the second shift.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated precision, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong manual dexterity due to the fragile components being machined
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes and measuring instruments
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Machining (obtained after the year 2000)
- Attestation of Vocational Specialization (ASP) in CNC Machining
- Equivalent experience operating CNC machines
Desired Qualifications
- College Diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Excellent blueprint reading skills
