Job Summary
Set up dialysis machines, couple patients to equipment, monitor treatments, and disconnect them after completion. Clean and reprocess dialyzers while adhering to safety procedures, refer identified problems appropriately, and communicate with patients, families, and staff. Perform other delegated tasks as needed. This role is part of a new Portland clinic opening in December 2026. The position requires a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician or Certified Hemodialysis Technician with at least one year of recent dialysis experience.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent of high school graduate level training
- A minimum of 1-year of dialysis healthcare experience within the last 3 years
- Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) or Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work 3x12 day shift
- Must be able to work 530-1800 hours
- Must be able to work in Portland
- Must be able to work in a clinic setting
- Must be able to work with technical equipment
- Must have basic math skills
- Must have writing skills
- Must have general understanding of chemistry
- Must be able to perform vital signs
- Must be able to perform venipuncture
- Must be able to refer identified problems appropriately
- Must be able to communicate with patients, their families, staff and other organizations
- Must be able to work in a safe work environment
- Must be able to comply with regulatory requirements
- Must be able to undergo pre-employment background checks
- Must be able to undergo drug screenings
- Must be able to undergo employment verification
- Must be able to undergo references checks
- Must be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine
