Job Summary
Set up dialysis machines, couple patients to equipment, monitor treatments, and disconnect them after procedures. Clean and reprocess dialyzers while adhering to safety procedures, and refer identified problems appropriately. Communicate with patients, families, staff, and other organizations as needed. This position receives direction from the unit registered nurse, supervisor, or manager. Direct-care employees float to other clinics as required to maintain safe patient care. Shifts run Monday through Saturday in variable per diem blocks.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of High School Diploma (or GED or advanced degree)
- One year of dialysis experience
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for evening shifts
- Must be able to float to other clinics, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Education in the science field
- Prior direct patient care experience
- Prior phlebotomy experience
