Job Summary
Conduct professional role development activities including continuing education, quality assessment, and the clinical application of research findings. Develop ethically sound practice by confronting ethical challenges through the Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and state Scope of Practices. Lead interdisciplinary teams to deliver individualized, compassionate care that enables patients to live instead of living for dialysis. Work directly with a multi-disciplinary team to set a tone that addresses patient needs holistically while seeking opportunities to improve the environment for patients and staff. Maintain competency in electronic health records and independently organize, prioritize, and complete projects. Requires one year of registered nurse experience with minimum three to six months of nephrology dialysis experience depending on state, plus current active RN licensure and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of registered nurse experience
- Minimum 3 months (California - Tennessee) or 6 months (Texas) of experience as a Nephrology Nurse with dialysis experience
- a combination of in-center, and/ or acute, hemodialysis
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
- Current, active, unencumbered state RN licensure
- Current Healthcare Provider certification (CPR)
- Competent and in-depth knowledge regarding the use of Electronic Health Records
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete projects independently
