Job Summary
Provide direct patient care to inpatients requiring hemodialysis; supervise treatments, perform assessments, create personalized care plans, and address patient concerns. Educate nursing staff on the care of the hemodialysis patient, equipment, and standards of care. Build rewarding relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in recovery. Ensure adherence to best practices in dialysis and participate in ongoing staff education. Required qualifications include current RN licensure as per state regulations, CPR certification, ACLS within 1 year of hire, and 6 months of dialysis nursing experience; inpatient hospital experience is preferred. CRRN certification is encouraged and may be pursued with assistance.
