Job Summary
Dialysis Registered Nurse responsible for supervising nursing services each shift and serving as RN Charge Nurse, overseeing staff, participating in interdisciplinary care, and supporting dialysis operations. Responsibilities include administering medications as directed, assisting physician during rounds, contributing to anemia management and treatment protocols, documenting patient medication profiles, communicating assessment results, orienting new staff as a preceptor, aiding in hiring and disciplinary processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and applying leadership and clinical judgment in a dialysis center setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state. License must be maintained as current and in good standing.
- 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months of experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgment.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state. (See addendum for RN Charge Nurse.)
