Dialysis Registered Nurse - St. Joseph Acutes

Job Summary
Administer medications, perform pre and post treatment physical assessments, and initiate or terminate patient treatments including catheter management. Set up dialysis machines, conduct water quality verification, and clean equipment per policy while documenting all care in patient records. Communicate assessment results to physicians, complete handoff communications with hospital nurses, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations. Provide patient education, monitor infection control, and participate in staff development and training. Maintain accurate data submission and inventory management to support quality metrics and operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state or compact
- CPR certification
- Ability to pass color screening
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills
- Proficiency in all USRC clinical applications
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hospital/agency hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements
Desired Qualifications
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- Previous experience in providing nursing care to patients on dialysis
