Job Summary
Deliver safe, efficient hemodialysis treatment while performing thorough patient assessments, administering medications, and obtaining laboratory specimens. Manage daily unit operations including set-up, machine cleaning, and staffing coordination, acting as the primary nurse in the Charge Nurse's absence. Adjust therapy based on patient changes, respond to emergencies, and maintain clear communication with the healthcare team, DOC/BOP, and patients. Document all care accurately, participate in quality assurance committees, and teach patients about their disease and treatment. Work Monday through Saturday in the Moberly Correctional Facility, reporting to the Unit Leader.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
- Current RN License for Missouri
- Current CPR certification (or within three months of hire)
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience
- Experience must be within the past two years
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and satisfactorily communicate in English
- Strong technical/computer proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work the full schedule which may range from five to fifteen hours per day
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
