Dialysis Registered Nurse, RN

Job Summary
Conduct hemodialysis treatments and perform thorough patient assessments while monitoring renal failure responses and adjusting therapy as needed. Manage daily unit operations including machine setup, cleaning, and medication administration, while verifying orders and obtaining laboratory specimens. Coordinate care with the healthcare team, nephrologists, and dietitians to develop care plans, delegate responsibilities, and assume Charge Nurse functions during absences. Maintain accurate documentation, prepare daily logs, and participate in quality assurance and infection control committees. Work three days per week at Butner Federal Medical Center in Butner, North Carolina, reporting to the Unit Leader with a comprehensive background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
- Current RN License for North Carolina
- Current CPR certification (or within three months of hire)
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience
- Experience must be within the past two years
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and satisfactorily communicate in English
- Strong technical/computer proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work the full schedule which may range from five to fifteen hours per day
- Comprehensive background check
