Dialysis Registered Nurse, RN

Job Summary
Perform hemodialysis treatments, conduct thorough patient assessments, and administer medications at the Butner Federal Medical Center. Manage daily unit operations including machine setup, cleaning, and supply stocking while coordinating care with the healthcare team and facility staff. Recognize patient changes, adjust therapy, and respond to emergencies by notifying the nephrologist as necessary. Work three days per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) with a schedule ranging from five to fifteen hours daily. Maintain strong relationships with clients and staff, participate in quality assurance committees, and assume Charge Nurse responsibilities during absences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
- Current RN License for North Carolina
- Current CPR certification (or within three months of hire)
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and satisfactorily communicate in English
- Strong technical/computer proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work the full schedule which may range from five to fifteen hours per day
- Comprehensive background check

- Two to three years of experience (preferred)
- Experience must be within the past two years
