Job Summary
Travel Home Therapy RN provides patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis modalities across U.S. Renal Care locations; this role delivers nursing relief for assigned programs on a temporary/short-term basis, teaches patients self-care in Peritoneal or Home Hemodialysis, documents in EMR, conducts patient education and follow-up, coordinates with interdisciplinary team, and participates in infection control and quality improvement activities. Requires multi-state RN licensure, CPR, home modality experience, travel flexibility, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- All licenses must be maintained as current and in good standing
- Must obtain applicable state license based on assignment
- 12 months or more current nursing experience; 6 months or more home modality experience required
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment
