Job Summary
Home Therapy Registered Nurse traveler provides patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis modalities (Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis) across multiple renal care locations in the U.S. Responsibilities include training patients and care partners, coordinating and documenting nursing care, administering medications as ordered, conducting home visits when needed, ensuring inventory and equipment readiness, participating in infection control monitoring, and communicating patient status to the physician and interdisciplinary team. The role requires flexible travel, in-person patient care, on-call coverage, adherence to federal/state regulations, EMR documentation, and ongoing education to support program goals and patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual competency
- Excellent English communication (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire
- Meet state practice act requirements for applicable state
- Background clearances/orientation requirements as applicable
