Job Summary
Dialysis Registered Nurse, Home Hemodialysis & Peritoneal RN - Floater travels to various US Renal Care locations to provide home dialysis patient training and ongoing support, serving as nursing relief on a temporary basis. Responsibilities include training patients (and care partners) in self-care for Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis, administering medications, conducting routine and non-routine labs, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, monitoring patient outcomes, infection control, emergency preparedness, and on-call nursing services (nights/weekends) as needed. Requires current multi-state RN license, 12+ months of nursing experience (6+ months in home modality), CPR, ability to travel across assignment locations in the US, and proficiency with clinical applications and documentation in EMR/USRC systems. Emphasizes compassionate patient education, accurate documentation, timely communication with physicians, and adherence to state and federal regulations. Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- Must obtain applicable state license within state-specified time frames
- 12 months or more nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- CPR certification
- Ability to distinguish primary colors
- Completion of Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program
- Competency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days
- English language proficiency (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to meet state practice act requirements
- Background clearances as applicable
