Job Summary
Home Therapy Registered Nurse (Traveler) provides patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis modalities across multiple U.S. Renal Care locations, serving as nursing relief on a temporary or short-term basis. Responsibilities include training patients and care partners in self-care for Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, maintaining documentation in the Electronic Medical Record, supporting infection control, ensuring timely supply orders, and contributing to program goals and quality outcomes. Travel across the U.S. to assigned locations, flexible with scheduling, and on-call coverage as needed. Requires current RN license(s), relevant home modality experience, CPR, and completion of orientation for home therapy modality. Ability to communicate effectively in English and use computer applications is required.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- All licenses must be maintained as current and in good standing
- Must obtain applicable state license, based on assignment, within state specified time frames
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment
