Job Summary
Home Therapy Registered Nurse (Traveler) provides patient training and ongoing support for patients choosing a home dialysis modality, traveling to various U.S. renal care locations to support programs on a temporary or short-term basis. Responsibilities include patient education on home dialysis practices, coordinating supplies and medication profiles, assisting with infection control and program outcomes, documenting nursing services in the EMR, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, performing home visits as needed, and participating in on-call coverage and staff development, while maintaining compliance with federal/state regulations and program policies.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- 12 months or more current nursing experience; 6 months or more home modality experience
- CPR certification
- Experience with home dialysis modalities (Peritoneal Dialysis or Home Hemodialysis)
- Ability to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- English language proficiency (verbal and written)
- Computer proficiency in clinical applications (EMR) within 90 days of hire
- Ability to meet state practice requirements and background clearance as applicable
