Job Summary
Home Therapy Registered Nurse travels to US Renal Care locations to provide patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis modalities, delivering nursing relief on a temporary/short-term basis. Responsibilities include patient education and follow-up, training patients (and/or care partners) in self-care peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, handling documentation in the Electronic Medical Record, infection control monitoring, equipment readiness, and ensuring timely communication of patient needs. The role supports program growth and quality outcomes, may involve on-call coverage nights/weekends, and requires flexibility to travel across assignment locations within the U.S. and Guam. Stable, reliable attendance and compliance with federal/state regulations are required, along with multi-state RN licensure where applicable and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- CPR certification
- Ability to distinguish primary colors
- Completion of Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and annual competency maintenance
- English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire
- State practice-act compliance as applicable
- Ability to meet background check/or orientation requirements as applicable
