Job Summary
Traveling Home Therapy Registered Nurse provides patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis across U.S. Renal Care locations on a temporary/short-term basis. Responsibilities include teaching patients about self-care for Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis, coordinating supplies and inventory, assisting with equipment and water sampling where applicable, documenting nursing services in EMR, contributing to program quality and patient outcomes, and ensuring availability for on-call nursing coverage. The role requires travel flexibility throughout the U.S. and Guam, with duties that may include patient education, data collection, infection control monitoring, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must obtain applicable state license within state-specified time frames
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program
- Demonstrated working knowledge of English
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire
