Job Summary
Traveling Home Therapy Registered Nurse to provide patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis modalities across US Renal Care locations. Provides nursing relief on a temporary/short-term basis, trains patients and care partners in self-care for Peritoneal Dialysis or Home Hemodialysis, documents nursing services in the Electronic Medical Record, communicates with physicians and interdisciplinary team, and supports program goals while coordinating with technical services for home assessments when needed. Will participate in infection control activities, emergency preparedness, and adapt to various home environments; on-call nights and weekends may be required and travel across assignment locations is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states (multi-state licenses as applicable)
- 12 months or more current nursing experience; 6 months or more home modality experience required
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Demonstrated ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire
- Must meet state practice act requirements and any applicable background requirements
