Job Summary
Dialysis Registered Nurse – Floater for Home Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis travel assignments. Provides nurse training and ongoing patient support for home dialysis modalities across US Renal Care locations on a temporary/short-term basis. Responsibilities include nurse-led patient education, ensuring timely equipment and supply delivery, assisting with inventory and program readiness, coordinating home evaluations for equipment needs, contributing to patient outcome improvement, obtaining and communicating lab results, documenting nursing services in EMR, and participating in on-call coverage and infection control activities. Requires current RN license (multi-state), home modality experience (6 months+), strong communication and computer skills, CPR certification, and willingness to travel across the U.S. and Guam. Provides care in patient homes, requires flexible scheduling and reliable attendance, and may involve after-hours rotations and remote coordination as part of a home therapy program.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- All licenses must be maintained as current and in good standing
- Must obtain applicable state license based on assignment within state-specified time frames
- 12 months or more current nursing experience; 6 months or more home modality experience
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment
