Job Summary
Home Therapy Registered Nurse -- Traveler travels to various U.S. Renal Care locations to provide patient training and ongoing support for patients choosing a home dialysis modality. Provides nursing relief/support for assigned programs on a temporary or short-term basis. Responsibilities include promoting improved care and growth of the home department, teaching patients about order placement and supply delivery, assisting with inventory and equipment management, coordinating patient care, documenting nursing services in the EMR, and participating in infection control and program outcomes activities. Requires RN licensure in multiple states, travel flexibility, CPR certification, and completion of the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- 12 months or more current nursing experience; 6 months or more home modality experience
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment
