Job Summary
Home Therapy Registered Nurse travel/floater role providing patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis modalities across U.S. Renal Care locations. Responsible for nursing relief in temporary/short-term assignments, educating patients on self-care for Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary team, tracking program performance, performing or assisting with medication administration, laboratory tests, infection control monitoring, and maintaining thorough documentation in the Electronic Medical Record. May require on-call duties, travel across assignment locations, and collaboration with home program operations to ensure timely supplies and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- 12 months or more current nursing experience; 6 months or more home modality experience required
- CPR certification
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must complete Home Therapy Nurse Orientation and maintain competency
- English language proficiency
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days
- State practice requirements compliance
- Background clearances/orientation as applicable
Desired Qualifications
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment
