Job Summary
Registered Nurse for Home Therapy roles with travel across U.S. Renal Care locations to provide patient training and ongoing support for home dialysis modalities. Provides nursing relief/support on a temporary/short-term basis; responsibilities include patient education, inventory coordination, data collection for quality improvement, infection control monitoring, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team. Must train patients (and/or care partners) in self-care Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis, conduct home visits as needed, document nursing services in EMR, and be available for on-call shifts, nights, and weekends. Requires flexible scheduling to accommodate home program needs and travel across assignment locations. Must possess multi-state RN licenses, CPR, and strong communication and computer skills; travel willingness across the U.S. and Guam is required.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- Must obtain applicable state license within state-specified time frames
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirements for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements
