Job Summary
Dialysis Registered Nurse, Home Therapy -- Traveler opportunity providing home dialysis modality training and ongoing support to patients across U.S. Renal Care locations. Responsible for patient education, medication documentation, program coordination, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team. Travel to various locations; duties include on-site patient care, instruction of self-care in Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis, routine and non-routine nursing duties, infection control monitoring, usage of electronic medical records, and ensuring timely communication with physicians and supervisors. Flexible with scheduling, on-call coverage evenings/weekends as needed, and participation in program readiness and quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in multiple states
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- 6 months or more home modality experience
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel to assignment locations throughout the U.S. and Guam
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment
