Job Summary
Dialysis Registered Nurse role overseeing and delivering direct patient care during hemodialysis treatments. Key duties include supervising and performing dialysis and vital-sign monitoring, initiating and terminating dialysis per physician orders, documenting orders and patient data, formulating dialysis plans, administering medications as appropriate, and communicating emergencies or changes to the supervisor and medical director. The RN assesses patient conditions, analyzes laboratory data, educates patients and families about renal disease and dialysis treatment, and participates in developing and implementing short- and long-term care plans. Requires 1+ year of RN experience; nursing degree (ADN/BSN) and licensure; training may occur at the facility or a training clinic. The role emphasizes teamwork, dependability, leadership, time management, and ability to take and give direction in a busy dialysis clinic environment. Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- At least 1 year of clinical experience working as a nurse
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) (preferred)
- Employment contingent upon passing drug screen and background check
