Job Summary
Oversee nursing services each shift by supervising staff during operational hours, responding to all clinic emergencies, and assisting physicians with patient rounds and order implementation. Complete and document monthly reviews of patient medication profiles, administer medications as ordered, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours while acting as a resource for implementing and evaluating dialysis services and policies. Assist in the orientation of new staff, participate in interdisciplinary care planning, and support administrative efforts regarding staff interviewing and disciplinary actions. Requires a current RN license, 12 months of nursing experience including 3 months in dialysis, CPR certification, and proficiency in USRC clinical applications. Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state. License must be maintained as current and in good standing.
- 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months of experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgment.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state.
