Job Summary
Administer medications, provide patient education, and initiate or terminate dialysis treatments including catheter management. Perform pre- and post-treatment physical assessments, complete water quality verification, and clean and disinfect dialysis machines. Communicate assessment results to physicians and document all care in patient records while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and hospital policies. Manage inventory, participate in surveys, and lead staff in team concepts to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations. Full-time and part-time roles with medical, dental, vision, 401k match, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state or compact
- CPR certification with hospital approved program
- Ability to pass color screening
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills
- Proficiency in all USRC clinical applications
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hospital/agency hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements
Desired Qualifications
- 12 months or more current nursing experience
- Previous experience in providing nursing care to patients on dialysis
