Job Summary
Dialysis Registered Charge Nurse responsible for overseeing nursing services each shift and serving as a nursing supervisor. Provides daily staff supervision during operational hours, assists with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments, administers medications as ordered, assists with physician rounds and transcription of orders, supports anemia management and protocol implementation, ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies, may provide direct dialysis care where state regulations permit, responds to clinic emergencies, communicates assessment results to physicians and team members, collaborates with Medical Director and physicians, participates in interdisciplinary care planning, and assists in orienting new staff as a preceptor while supporting staff hiring and performance processes; requires an RN license, leadership experience, CPR certification within 90 days, computer proficiency, and state practice compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state. License must be maintained as current and in good standing.
- 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months of experience with dialysis patients.
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and sound judgment in emergent situations.
- English language proficiency (verbal and written).
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire.
- Must meet state-specific practice requirements (see addendum for RN Charge Nurse).
