Job Summary
Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments per prescribed orders while obtaining and documenting pre- and post-treatment vitals, weights, and vascular access assessments. Operate hemodialysis machines, perform safety checks, and administer heparin as permitted by state law. Accurately document patient treatment details, prepare laboratory specimens, and deliver excellent service to patients, families, and staff while maintaining a clean environment. Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse in compliance with state and federal regulations. Requires two years of dialysis technician experience, current dialysis certification, and passing Ishihara's Color Blindness test. Three-day work week with competitive pay and a sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience
- Dialysis certification
- Passing Ishihara's Color Blindness test
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to move equipment up to 200 lbs (with assistance)
