Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Job Summary
Provide hands-on care to assigned patients under nurse supervision, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, obtaining vitals, and performing safety checks on hemodialysis machines. Accurately document patient treatment details, prepare laboratory specimens, and administer heparin as permitted by state law while maintaining a clean environment. Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with company policies and federal regulations. Requires minimum of two years of dialysis technician experience and current dialysis certification. Three-day work week with competitive pay and 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience
- Dialysis certification
- Passing Ishihara's Color Blindness test
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Able to move equipment up to 200 lbs (with assistance)
- Sustained mental, visual, and auditory focus
