Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Job Summary
Cares for and monitors adult/geriatric ESRD patients before, during, and after dialysis; prepares dialysis machines, components, and monitors safety parameters (weights, temperature, BP, pulse, respiration); explains dialysis procedures to patients; inspects access sites and equipment; starts treatment per physician orders; monitors for adverse reactions and equipment malfunctions; assists with inventory and supplies in the dialysis clinic; requires CPR within 90 days of hire, IQ/vision tests (Ishihara color vision), completion of our dialysis training program within 12 weeks, CMS certification within CMS timeline, and basic English communication and computer skills. Demonstrates confidentiality and effective communication; able to multitask and work flexible shifts; physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Demonstrates interpersonal skills to work with patients and staff. Eligible for relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. 4-9 hour shifts per week totaling around 36 hours.
